Computational Pathology and Digital Medicine

  • Master

Advance the future of healthcare through data, discovery, and digital innovation.

The Master of Science in Computational Pathology and Digital Medicine (MSCPDM) at the University of Jamestown is a fully online, two-year graduate program designed to prepare students to lead in the growing fields of computational pathology, digital medicine, and biomedical data science.

Students develop the technical, analytical, and ethical foundations to apply artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and bioinformatics to real-world clinical and research challenges—all while learning in a flexible, fully remote format. With a strong foundation in data science, digital diagnostics, and interdisciplinary collaboration, students are equipped to take on high-impact leadership roles across academic, clinical, and industry settings.

Program Goals

We aim to prepare students to:

  • Lead in the growing fields of computational pathology and digital medicine.
  • Build skills in translational research, algorithm development, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Offer applied, ethical, and scalable approaches to digital health innovation.

What’s it like to be an online MSCPDM Student at UJ?

Unlike traditional graduate programs, the Master of Science in Computational and Digital Medicine program at UJ offers an interdisciplinary and technologically advanced curriculum grounded in real-world health data, clinical applications, and innovation. Students don’t just study technology—they learn to design, analyze, and implement digital health solutions that impact patient outcomes and the future of medicine.

As a student, your classes will be fully remote, with access to coursework 24/7 online—giving you flexibility to support your personal and professional efforts.

From the virtual classroom to internships and beyond, students can expect to learn how to:

  • Build, validate, and deploy AI-based machine learning models for clinical data.
  • Analyze biomedical “big data” using R, Python, and other cloud-based tools.
  • Understand how digital technologies and therapeutics are developed and regulated.
  • Participate in internships or practicum-based learning experiences with industry partners.
  • Explore ethical and legal challenges in digital health, such as AI, automation, and patient data privacy, and propose solutions.
