Academic Support

Discover a range of resources that we offer to help you succeed in your area of academic study. All services are available to every member of the UJ community, including online students

Your success is our priority.

We believe the only way to ensure our students are successful is to empower them with unmatched support services. One of the perks of enrolling in a smaller, collegial environment for your online education is that you can receive individualized attention and support from faculty and your advisor. Plus, you get virtual access to the same support services offered on our campus.

Academic Services

The Student Success Center, located in Raugust Library, offers the following services—available both in-person and virtually—to help undergraduate and graduate students find academic success:

Academic Advising

Each student is assigned a faculty advisor from day one. Their job is to answer any questions you have about your academic program and help you plan your courses each semester. Additional advising services include:

  • Evaluating your majors/minors
  • Outlining your provisional schedule prior to meeting with your advisor
  • Explaining general education and specific major/minor requirements

Writing Center

This free resource aims to empower better writers, create confidence, critical thinking, realistic goals, and an appreciation for the writing process. The Writing Center helps with any and all types of writing—from personal statements to APA-style research papers.

Disability Services

University of Jamestown is committed to granting reasonable accommodations to its rules, policies, practices, or services when necessary for people with disabilities. Learn more about our disability services and processes.
